WHAT WILL YOU HEAR?

These feature a very neutral and mellow fellow presentation. This is best for "neutral speaker guy", "tinnitus guy" or "I like smooth sound guy". The blend between the highs and mids is quite smooth and seamless and this contributes to this sound signature. When is this good? Evanescence - "My Immortal": This song sounded very life-like and the body of the piano was palpable. When is this not good? Living Colour - "This is the Life": The detail of this rocking song was lost somewhat as some of the 1000/notes per second on the guitar by Vernon Reid "mush" together instead of being distinct and clear. The old models in this line-up (Q950) sounded better to us with Living Colour as I am "bright speaker guy". HOWEVER, you could make out the gap between the low-highs and your high-mids and this discontinuity could be an issue for "tinnitus guy". If you audition the Q11s, keep this strength of continuity and smoothness in mind and see how other speakers your audition may be affected by the "Q950 gap". We also listened to:

  • Marcin - "Classical Dragon"
  • Frank Sinatra - "Fly Me To The Moon"
  • Teddy Swims - "Lose Control"
  • Sting - "I Burn For You"
  • Sade - "King of Sorrow"
  • Scorpions - "Love at First Sting" album

Q11 FINAL THOUGHTS

We like them the more we listen and they do well with certain types of music (notated above).
